How to Improve Visibility Around a Box Truck Liftgate at Night

Box trucks and delivery vehicles rarely unload under perfect conditions. Drivers may arrive before sunrise, after dark or at a customer location with little exterior lighting. They often work near parking-lot traffic, loading docks, pedestrians and employees who are focused on the delivery rather than the vehicle.
Lowering the liftgate creates another visibility challenge. The gate extends the truck's working area beyond the rear body, while cargo placed on the platform can block or compete with rear lamps and reflectors. 1. Liftgate warning lights identify the moving platform

2. Work lights illuminate the loading surface
A warning light attracts attention, but it is not necessarily intended to illuminate cargo, the pavement or the worker's footing. That is the job of a work light.
